Meet The Team
Margaret is a North Carolina native and proud double Tar Heel, graduating from the Hussman School of Media and Journalism in 2019 where she was also captain of the varsity women's rowing team. After graduating, Margaret worked in education policy and journalism, spending time at her family's newspaper in Whiteville, NC, where she is the fourth generation. She decided to pursue her MBA to find solutions for community-based journalism to remain profitable. During her time at Kenan-Flagler, Margaret has enjoyed learning about entrepreneurship and venture capital. This summer, Margaret worked for Bromegrass Capital as a business analyst in addition to helping various startups develop their business strategy, specializing in market analysis and competitive advantages. In her spare time, Margaret loves heading into the great outdoors with her dog, Tiny Bit, watching Carolina athletics, cooking, baking, and surfing.
As the President of EVC, Margaret is excited to provide opportunities for KFBS students to learn from and connect with members of the Triangle's start-up ecosystem, to demystify non-traditional career paths, and collaborate with the KFBS Community.

Andrew is a 7th-generation Washingtonian who graduated from Elon University and worked as a senior associate with the valuations group at Cherry Bekaert, LLP before business school. There he led valuations of privately held businesses and illiquid investments for alternative asset managers, such as public business development corporations and private equity firms. Andrew decided to return to business school to transition into venture capital and private equity, interning this summer with Citizens Capital Markets, Inc. A world traveler (Andrew has been to more than 55 countries), he also enjoys amateur archaeology, geology, and meteorology.
Before business school, Stuart was a portfolio manager at an investment management firm and decided to pursue his MBA to transition into the impact investing venture capital space. Stuart has been working for Knightsgate Ventures in Charleston, SC, a firm whose mission is to drive innovation while creating social good--the intersection of social impact and financial returns he was looking for in a career. A Vanderbilt University graduate, Stuart also enjoys visiting his family's Thoroughbred horse farm in Lexington, KY.
Stuart helps facilitate the sale of coursepacks and coordinating EVC Club's events.
Jimmy Chanda is a former biomedical engineer who decided to pursue his MBA to bridge the gap from where he was to where he wanted to be. The University of South Carolina graduate found his passions and interests in the engineering field all required solid business acumen, and he quickly became interested in entrepreneurship, venture capital and technology at Kenan-Flagler. This summer, Jimmy has been working for Foundation Medicine, a healthcare company that develops, manufactures, and sells genomic profiling assays based on next-generation sequencing technology for various cancer types. In his free time, Jimmy loves being outdoors playing golf or with his golden doodle, Paisley, and exploring North Carolina with his wife, Clara.
Prior to business school, Kelvin was transitioning from a product management marketing role into a business analyst. He decided to pursue his MBA to surround himself with intelligent people from different backgrounds and experiences. This supported his entrepreneurial mindset to discover additional opportunities surrounding support for the innovative efforts of entrepreneurs. The Washington University in St. Louis graduate has been interning for Fortive this summer, a diversified industrial growth company. At WashU, Kelvin played football and rugby. He also enjoys UFC, oenology (the study of wine making), DIY wood working, and creating drawings that will never see the light of day.

Maitri is an experienced entrepreneur who co-founded a startup in India and previously worked for a boutique investment banking firm. Her primary focus is entrepreneurship and finance and used her skills to assist several startups this summer with financial modeling and business plan development. Maitri decided on Kenan-Flagler to learn more about the global entrepreneurial ecosystem and gain strategy experience. Her hobbies include traveling and reading.
A Canada native, Marc decided to pursue his MBA to gain experience and develop a network that will help him start his own business. He studied entrepreneurship and innovation at Acadia University, currently working for CastleBranch, a screenings and clinical experience solutions firm based in Wilmington, NC. In his free time you can catch Marc singing "Oh, Canada," while watching basketball or hockey. He enjoys skiing and has traveled to 42 countries- and counting!
Mimmy loves all things venture capital, coming to Kenan-Flagler to transition from tech and build her quantitative skill set as well as enhance her network. The University of Notre Dame graduate spent the summer working for TrueBridge Capital Partners, a boutique investing firm focused on emerging technologies. Upon starting business school, Mimmy got very into pickleball and is always looking for an excuse to play.
